About Dr Brink
Dr Richard Brink qualified at the University of Cape Town and has spent a lifetime in medicine — over four decades of caring for patients across every stage of life. Early in his career he helped establish the first dedicated emergency care unit at Johannesburg General Hospital, work that helped shape emergency medicine as we know it in South Africa.
He went on to complete his diploma in primary emergency care and his family-physician specialist qualifications, blending the sharp instincts of an emergency doctor with the long-term relationships of a family GP. Patients know him for his calm, thorough approach and his genuine interest in the people behind the symptoms.
As founder of the practice, Dr Brink set the tone that still defines it today: unhurried consultations, honest advice and care that treats you like family.
